John D. is in the process of upgrading the software, hence the PM pop-up you saw.

this is a great enhancement!!!! I got it also.

 

I love it....great POP-UP feature...perhaps the ONLY pop-up I'll EVER truly LOVE Thanks John D!!!

i got the PM warning but it never opened the message. was it just a test?

 

The only thing to make it better is a little warning in the popup that says 'you have a Pm do you want to go to it now (or whatever), then remind people to turn off popup blockers to proceed.

 

It also would be nice if the POPUP identified itself coming from RENNLIST. I first experienced this popup feature today...sorta freaked me out because I thought I had been hit by a virus...

Good idea, Tuk. I had the same sorta concern when I saw it for the first time.

I've passed on your suggestion to JD.

 

Now that we know - it's a welcome feature; however, I cancelled the first two in my suspicion of " I don't know - so I don't open!"
Sorry if I wiped anyone's PM. Tuk's suggestion of a Rennlist ID on the window is good.

Worked great for me also until I noticed that it locked up my ie then knocked out my antivirus. 8^(
