I would think he means the little mechanisms that allow the door (map pocket / arm rest) to hinge up and over....allowing one to fit a big gulp in the door????

89GT
with no spare parts at the moment
Hmmmm.....if that's what he means.....I'm sure I got two I can spare....attached to the small armrest part. In black.
Hi . If you open up the map pocket/armrest look at the right and left side there is 1 piece on each side that have obvious movement when you open and close the armrest. Think of your hood open it you see the obvious hinges but what supports the hood, the shocks . Same principle. In my head anyways. Mike.

Then I have two for you attached to the leather moving arm pad. PM me and I'll send them along.
Anyone want anything Auto transmission specific off an 87 S4 Auto Engine. (Note this was a TBF Engine I bought for the heads) I'll bring it to OCIC. - Crank is toast, block is toast But the rest I have. And i don't really feel like bring the flywheel.
Also I have a set of new inlet manifold gaskets all 8 of them for the "Spider" to head joint. Bought because they were a bargain and I though I might buy one of those 928s with a spider one day. (Sounds like wifes shoes she never wears but were a bargain and one day she'll buy the outfit and hat to go with them
I just have to say : At a time where I thought decent people were becoming scarce you people have proved me wrong.I'm not only talking about this giving thread, but the forum on the whole. In one of Jeff McVicars' posts about 3 weeks ago,he said it perfectly. Thanks for putting a smile on my face and adding so much to the interest of the car. Wish you all were my neighbors. Sincerely, Mike.
Let's hope no-one gets laid off at the B-3. Mr Rixter you are admired by owners because of the thought of your post, but so, un-love-ed by 3 OTHERS. Mike. I hope I'm not shooting myself in the foot. I feel a little pain! Mike.

928 Owners are ".....a secret sect of quietly assured Porsche pragmatists who in near anonymity appreciate the prodigious, easy going prowess of the 928."
Mike, I thought of that today, I am TRUELY sorry to the B3 but there are obviously so many spare parts laying around doing nothing! all my parts are essentially doubles of perfectly good parts I already have, since I found this forum I've been overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone and couldn't think of a better way of giving back to those who have helped me
oh yeah... and who was it that suggested publicly that someone should start a thread like this? hmmmm
The big 3 have nothing to worry about. We're essentially talking about basically one item and it is mostly off the wall kind of stuff. They are probably still going strong selling their regular stuff they normally sell. I highly doubt we will see a good engines or trans being given away and shipped free in this thread.
Since this thread is getting maximum exposure I would like to see if anyone has a nitrous set up they are not using. I would be interested to buy it of course.
