Hey I surrender! I'm just the messenger.

I think the German Corvette reference goes to the 911... even though the 928 and the 'vette have more in common, I think Corvette drivers and 911 drivers have always been keen enemies.

Sometime topwaters. sometimes spoons, but trolling usually gets a hit.

OK. Personally I like the blower on that car. I think unique 928's like this are cool.

My buddy once told me that some people consider the 911 to be a suped up VW Beetle.

'91 Euro GT

P.S. I plan to own one someday (the 911 that is. I have already owned a Beetle).

Any unique car is a cool car...

It just seems a shame, when you have a base car, that is very sleek, and smooth, and then you ruin the lines it has. I have nothing against huge blowers sticking through hoods. I think it looks cool. But it just looks better on a Nova or Camaro, etc... Or best of all, sticking out of the hood of an old hot rod...

Well, I remember one of the car magazines back in the '80's that described the new 1984 corvette:

"gm aims for the 928...and hits the 944!"

N!

Ich hab in Potsdam (Babelsberg, kurtz nach Wansee-Gruenewald-Berlin) gewohned... Na... "Manny Manta" was funny all over Germany, and my car buddies also made fun of them...

Are you sure this isn't just a photoshop edit? It looks strange to me...no shadow on the hood from the blower maybe, or the angle of the whole thing looks different than the angle the car is sitting....I don't know? Maybe not! I like the warm/orange yellow color vs. the cool/greenish yellow color of the mustangs.

Either C&D or R&T have referenced the 928 and Corvette together. In one article on the GTS the writer states that the GTS was alot like the Corvette and goes on to state that the corvette had only recently started to aproach 928's standards. Where the Corvette was a sprinter ala ZR-1 the GTS was "Decathlete" subtly hiding its muscles in a warm up suit, or something to that effect.

It's not.

The guy sent me a series of pictures of the car for my website.

I have not posted them yet.

If you want to see a doctored photo...

bc,

Photoshopped?!?

I thought that was a spy photo of the new Poop Fluffy Dogg ride...

Just don't let that hacker Jesse James see that thing. He might be "inspired". Or is it "insipid"? He is a great poster child for not working with hot solvents in closed spaces for days at a time.

They are the 928 and Z28. I could care less what people compare the 928 to... as long as I'm driving one I'm happy

On the same note, the Camaro was always one of the most powerful muscle cars... usually more powerful than the corvettes. Though, I know the camaro will never be a match for the 928's handling capabilities.
