Hi Garth,
Did you find a mule for you crack run?![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Hi Chuck,
Yes, as Garth mentioned I was in a spot of trouble with my 88 drivers seat. The PO had attempted a switch repair, and it had gone very wrong. The manual adjustment cog was also stripped.
It is a bad rub. The switches were totaled leaving the seat unmovable. They cannot be replaced with the seat in the car, however you cannot remove the seat if it does not move fore and aft (no access to mounting bolts).
The simple way out is to disconnect both drive cables from the front motor (fore/aft) and hook up "2" cordless drills to the cable ends. You can then easily move the seat back and forth to access the mounting bolts.
Cheers,
Mike

FWIW... I, too, had a passenger seat
that wouldn't move fore & aft. I
removed the switch, opened it,
cleaned the 2 spring contactsof arc-
marks/pitting & reassembled it
and ta-da-a-a, the seat moves
both ways. What a relief. 15 min job.
