damned , getting old... did try to mount the clutch kit but couldn't align the guiding pins .... had to give up due my shoulders. Will use my gearbox lift that i can take pauzes if it doesn't work direct .... 20 years ago that wasn't a problem.....

with the gearbox lift i had the pressure plate guiding pins align in no time.... now all finished , later this afternoon another dyno run .... fingers crossed that we now have no more surprizes after oil puke first dyno , clutch second.

YESSS ! finaly no problems . I filmed the rev's/AFR to see what happens when. There is just a lean spot in the transition from idle jets to mains .

360 HP & 463 NM..... i'm happy with that , Less advance was less power , but i didn't daire to advance it more , i didn't had my timing light at the dyno. Don't remember if i set it at 32° or 34° .....

PS not one drop of oil in the air outlet filter from my cranckcase vent system !

I think this results show the S spider intake leave a lot of hp on the table!

i expected "350" HP but surprized about the 463 NM torque as we don't have those long intake runners from the spider anymore.

PS with air filter ( a screen , cut from a K&N filter , in the scoop opening ) we lost 8 HP and 8 NM. Driving we won't notice any difference .

Now the paper work.... race inspection and official inspection.... for registration.

I guess we all need to remove our air filters and air boxes and put ram air scoops into our hoods

now that the car passed inspection and registered i could do some road tests..... surprized how much that differs from dyno runs . Lean spots after each gear change , gas response not good at all .
I mounted 38.5 mm venturis ( chokes) as i had good experience with those on my 3.5l 6 cilinder BMW CS , which is the same CID/cilinder. But those were weber 45 DCOE , here IDA48.
Mounted now 36 mm venturis ( and smaller jets ) and gas response is much better ! Perhaps i loose some HP at the top , but for a rally car gas response is more important.
For finer tuning jetting i need more driving and watch the AFR , think i'm at the rich side. But those 36 mm venturis are sure way better .

Almost ready to rally
