Finally Got My Foglights Working But Now Sidelights Have Stopped Working!
Am I correct in saying on an early 928S (mine is 1980) the fog lights are the inner lights and side and parking lights are next to the indicators?
On Friday I was able to get the fog lights working on my 1980 928S and I was thrilled.
However today my inner lights are no longer working!
Today I changed the headlight bulbs for Osram Nightbreakers, which are standard bulbs (not LED). I put the original headlight bulbs back in and the inner are still not working.
All the fuses are operational but I haven’t checked the bulbs yet, however for both inner lights to fail it must be due to something other than the bulbs, as they were both working on Friday?

Ok I’ve leant something today, the inner lights are the main beam! Apparently this only for European market cars and US versions had the inner lights as fog lights?

the Euros have driving lights and fog lights , but no parking lights on the side,
the parking light would be a small bulb inside the headlight.
the USA cars have parking lights on the front and the side and fog lights.
NOTE make sure you have the wires properly installed on the multi plug connectors under the front bumper
NOTE the Euros dont have side markers like the USA cars do unless they have been modified to USA standards

On a Euro the parking light is a small bulb inside the fog light and the fog lights have 3 contacts on the plug, not 2...parking light 12v, fog light 12v, and ground. The corner lights are only turn signals and use a single filament 1156 bulb in the Euros whereas the US cars use a dual filament 1157.

EDIT: I hit reply in the wrong browser tab I think. I meant to put this on a Boxster thread. My bad.
I just recently replaced the halogen units with Litronics on my 2000 base car. I really prefer the look, and the light output is SO much better, even with the aging reflector and projector lens. I'm planning to do the retrofitlab bixenon upgrade. Looks pretty straightforward in the litronic units.
