Going in to replace the door window slides and cannot find any detailed writeup. Just the Porsche repair stuff. Does anyone know where I can fine d a writeup with pictures for a door rebuild?

I used this when I was doing a motor/regulator clean and installing new guides. It’s not focused on the guide tube and guides but has most of the info you need to tacke that or fill in any gaps by a search of posts on this forum.

There's nothing on the felt slide things, but everything else is in there.
Cheers

Just did both of mine last year before 3rd coast.
Lots of good writeups here. Didn’t actually make sense to me until I got in there and started disassembly.
With the good write ups by Stan and numerous other folks, made total sense to me once I got in there.
Consider doing the following while you’re at it:
-Upper and lower guides
-pin and roller (if not falling apart now, it will after you button it all up…LOL)
-order several small bolt to threaded sleeves. (not sure what there are called) that attach guides to the glass. These push in from behind the glass and you bolt the guides to them. I broke a couple.
-Bottom rubber placement bushing at bottom of guide rod
-Grease your rod. LOL!
-Blow apart your window motors, clean and lube them. They will spin way faster after you do, window will go up and down faster, smoother, quieter.
-Be patient when you adjust everything back to make sure window goes up and back into the top of its travel.
-Keep all bolts on upper and lower guides and guide rod bolts relatively loose to start with. Tighten a little more as it finds its way to top travel and “seats” at top. Move window up and down several times, snugging bolts a little more at a time until totally tight and **** on fit at top of travel.
-Oh,while you’re working on the guts, You’ll need to keep the window up and in place. No need to jam a piece of wood or anything under the glass, just push it up to top of travel and duck tape inner and outer glass with a few pieces. (Drape over top of door) This will keep the glass from dropping down into the door. Easy to remove when you’re ready to start to reassemble.
Again, look at all the great write ups available to you, get all your parts together, clean the **** out of everything/lube everything that needs to be done before reassembly. You’ll be a pro by the time you get to the second door.
Good luck!

Thanks Chuck, Had the regulator out a few years ago and changed the brush assembly re-greased the armature and applied new grease to to the geared section. This time I replaced the driver side glass, Window guides and the outer lower seal (Scraper).Tell you what, it isn't as easy as the videos show. I spent the better half of a day trying to get that seal in and in right. Meaning that the bottom inside of that seal hooked under the lip on the inside of the door. Also having it rolled into a curly cue made it even harder. I have the other seal hanging so that it may straighten out a little before I try again.
When I took the door card off, this screw fell out. Any ideas of the top of your head where it might go?
