Default Seat switches

I am changing the control on the passanger seat. How do you take apart plug with the 4 prongs sticking out. I don't want to break mine so I would figure I would ask. It looks like it slides out but I can't get it to budge.

Look inside the moving part from below - the moving part/cap has a Y shaped cup on each side, and the base has a round prong on its outsides, maybe 2mm dia, clicked into the Y. Use a small (jewellers) driver to prise the top off the pin one side at a time. Note that the moving brass bits inside are asymmetric, and face different ends. Youll know when you get inside....

Here is the pic of the plug in question. I still cant figure it out. Also, will I have to alter the passage where the cables go into the seat? It looks real tight.

Jserio,
Sorry I thought you were talking of the switch. Why do you need to dismantle the plug? I have never done that, or felt the need. The switch contacts get dirty and fail to operate, so need cleaning, but the plug? Is there something failed in there? a short? tell us why you want to go in there. yes the exit from the seat side is tight, but I have pulled my switch assembly off 3 or 4 times, and got it back together ok, even after recovering the seats.

JP, Both my seat switches were broke. I mean faces off stems broke. I had to change them both. Inside that plug is the prongs. I had to get those prongs out to put the new ones in.

UPDATE! Well I just got aggresive with the plug and eventually it saw things my way. If you had to change these switches before then im sure you share my pain. If you haven't then I would treat the ones you have like nitro glycerin. I got even in and buttoned up. Now to put the seat in. I put the seat in place, plugged in the goodies turned on the acc's and pop, fuse 20 gone. I turned the car off and unplugged the seat and put a new fuse in. I turn the acc's on first this time and then plugged in the seat. POP, blew another one. I will spare you the rest of the 4 hours and 18 more fuses later but thru the god awful trial and error system I have found that the seat backrest tilt switch is bad. It was brand new to. All that anguish only to be stopped once again. Well I bolted the seat in a jury rigged the seatback tilt. Hell I just glad the seat is back in. It has been out the better portion of eith months.
