Valve Cover Question

The reason for trying to remove the fitting from the cam cover is when I tried to pull the tube off, the hose cracked and is now leaking. I thought if I could remove the fitting from the cam cover I could put a patch over it rather than trying to replace the whole hose. Dont want to remove the intake if at all possible. What I'am going to try is some gasket sealer, a hose coupler and some heat shrink tube over the hose. The break is flush with the fuel rail and hard to get anything arround it.

I think Id rather pull the manifold than the cam cover. Thats assuming of course, you strip a cheese head bolt and have to drill it out yada, yada yada. Might not be too bad for you though. Good luck.
