Anthony is absolutely correct on this one folks!!!
Don't use the "OK" sign anywhere outside the U.S.!!! It has meanings ranging from "A-hole" to "You're cheap (chump change)", through "You're worth nothing!"

Most other Porsche drivers are either concetrating on keeping their twitchy welter-weights on the road, or don't have the refined power steering which our cars enjoy, and so must have both hands on the wheel for leverage.
If I notice them in time, I give the left-hand-lift wave to all Porsches, even Peppers.

Although this is a fairly old thread I did not want to start a new one.
As for waving – I am now resigned to only waving to friends and other sharks! I have had it with the Boxster crowd most of them should have bought a BMW instead. I mean really if you are driving around in your Porsche and you are not looking around at the other vehicles then you are just missing out. When I drive my wifes min-van that is the only time that I am oblivious to all those around me – except for looking out for sharks.
In any event can’t flash (means cops ahead), can’t thumbs up (my children do that), the ever so slight lift of the hand from the wheel is what I care to do. You can’t over commit there is nothing worse then a full wave and no response. I think Seinfeld should do a bit on the wave – I bet ya he waves!
Except for 944 and 951’s they will wave to you guaranteed!
My two cents.
Cheers

Best Porsche wave I ever got was from a guy in a 911. Was driving the 928 4 years ago and he rolled up next to me with a thumbs up. Felt good 'cause I was 17 at the time...
Some guy tried (I should say honored me, it was no competition) to race me in a brand new 996 when they came out. I was in the 944S, smiled, tried, lost, and went home. I was both humbled and awed...

Heinrich,
Question: Are you dating to a cute copstress? If so, how do you get the kevlar off w/o shooting yourself in the foot? You're obviously trying to be on your best behavior. Do you feel well? Did you get nailed? Are you in love with someone other than your 928s? Man, get ahold of yourself. Maybe you need to see a shrink...they don't wear kevlar.
A little over a week ago a highway patrolman stopped me and "complimented" me on my driving skills (Admittedly, for a brief time I was re-enacting in my mind the Spokane Track Attack). He was very impressed by how I was taking the inside corners on the curvy Idaho Roads. So impressed he felt compelled to turn his fishbowl lights on and pull me over so he could check the papers on this great driver (My bad luck...I'd left my driver's licence in my dirty mechanic's pants....at home. Oops!). I'm willing to face that I'm not the best driver around and humble enough to take some hints, but it hurt my pride to have a policeman pull me over and give me some pointers (But I have to remember that they do send them to driving school and they learn some really cool stuff...Next time I'll show him how to do a great "bootlegger turn"). It's pretty clear that I shouldn't hug the corners so tight but should instead line up the center yellow line with the hood emblem. I'm still learning.

I'm driving into the U of A. I'm stopped at a red. A 993 pulls up next to me. I'm unaware. I'm looking dead ahead, my boy says PORSCHE. I turn to the right to take a look. Caught the doofus looking at my car.He turns his head away so fast his glasses fall off his face......... PRICELESS.. I love my BIZMARK.And I guess he did too. Mike.
