Default disaster/carjack ot

last nite my buddy and 88 944Turbo owner was carjacked outside a local club... they pistol whipped him, robbed him, then stole his 944 and proceeded to wreck it at high speed while being chased by the cops.... needless to say the damage is pretty bad as you can see, my buddy has multiple deep contusions to his head, concussion etc... the perp is BEHIND BARS!!! the damage is shown and he would love anyone's help to get replacement parts (ie maybe a passenger side wrecked donor)
thetruerixter@aol.com

thanks

Insane. Absolutely insane.

All I can say is I really hope he recovers from this. And may his injuries heal fully and quickly. I'm saddened by this.

I'm looking at moving to Canada. This just reinforces how crazy this country is. Soon, I'll be looking back, wondering why I didn't leave sooner.

Lucky for your friend he drives a 944 instead of a 928. If he had a 928, no way the cops would have caught them.

he will heal fine, just really pisses me off, he just got back from Iraq after taking shrapnel from a landmine (the guy next to him that stepped on the mine came home in a bag)... thankfully the cops say the perp will not be free for MANY MANY years.... cops estimate he wrecked at just under 100mph... I would like to thank the kind folks who witnessed the attack and took care of my friend and called the cops

This happened in Carey, N.C.???

Give your friend our best wishes from Rennlist!

What a hell of a thing to encounter on coming back to the good old U.S.A

Jeannie Roberts hooked me up with a replacement set of drivers side phone dials, if anyone in the Raleigh area is going to SITM and is willing to bring 1 back for me I would greatly appreciate it

I have a set of doors, if he needs them. Only problem is that they are in KC and shipping might be a problem. PM me if you want to discuss it.

Does your buddy post on Rennlist? If so, whats his name?

Oh, and not trolling here, but I will put my 951 up against your 928 on any track you want.

Regards,

sh944:

I like Porsches , have owned a few, and I like 944s. I have friends who drive 944s. They are nice cars, and true to the Porsche mystique. I once sold 944s for a living and I liked them then.

I would rather be driving my 928 than a 951 on most any road you choose .

Before making the jump to Canada, try another state other than California. (I hear you guys are crazy to begin with) We have our problems in the states, but I wouldnt live anywhere else.

Rixter,
More best wishes for your friend!
It's detestable enough to even think about, let alone experience that event. Were it an isolated incident, there would be more comfort in the knowledge that those involved are being held responsible; however, with the growth of the low brow mentality in our cultures that revels in WWF, video game gore, blow 'em away movies, etc., it is the 'Entertainment' that is subliminal: The 'Message' is taken as means to succeed. The incidence of these aggressive conflicts is increasing and the associated violence is accelerating. The lowest common denominator rules again.
To the issue where we can try to be constructive, these guys are in your area (I think), and routinely have 944 donors at prices that seem reasonable. Scan them at http://www.germanautodismantlers.com/broadcast/, and if anything appeals , call David.

We have a serial car jacker at large in good old Lancaster, Pa
he waits until someone gets in their car then the jacker gets in too
pulls a gun and then gets driver to go to ATM for More money.

Why do they never try that with me...I would like to introduce them to my little friend......H&K

I hope your friend will be ok....and they want to know why people don't want to go down town?
