Always interesting to read articles like that about the 928. Shame he cannot count valves though.

Thanks for posting. Good article and excellent looking car. I wish they'd replace those rust-stained windshield fluid and coolant overflow tanks though. They stand out like a mustache on the Mona Lisa. I understand originality, and ascetics aside, keeping those rusted sleeves in the bottom of the tanks isn't doing the car any good.

Interesting car being a Jubilee yet missing both spoilers and sporting dials. How? I don't believe you could have specified options to this extent on the Jubilee models. They were built as is with spoilers and meteor gray metallic matching flat disks. A strange and not very nice example for the museum to have if it has been messed with at some point.

It clearly never had a front spoiler, as you can see by the lack of brake duct carve outs, and since it had no front spoiler, it would not have had a rear one either. This isn't a case of someone hitting a curb and pulling it off, nor likely that anyone would have gone to the trouble of replacing and painting to match the front PU bumper cover. Likewise, phone dials were certainly an option in that year, and after too. These things just make the car a bit more special. I trust the Porsche museum is savvy enough to know what they have and are putting in display. They would not take a hacked up car, at least I don't think thy would.

Nice article.

I have always wondered about this particular example as it looks like it was ordered without spoilers and with phone dial rims.

It was possible to order a S this way, but this is really unusual for a Jubilee.

It was also possible to order an S4 with the S rear spoiler instead of the wing, but I have yet to see a surviving example..
