So finally getting the parts back on, got the gasket for the TB to intake. One side has some sealant on it and the other side is just plain. Which goes to the intake side? The ones I took off had some silicone on them, should I use some? I do usually use Permatex Aviation on my cars can I use it?
Dont use gunk that shouldn't be there in the first place. That's the kinda crap that gets in things, things that you don't want things in, and then things happen.
Bad things.
I find it interesting that bead is not all the way around..

I use Blue Hylomar which is non-hardening and works perfectly for that.
I looked-up your Permatex Aviation, and it too is non-hardening so you should be good to go with it.

The bead isn't really to seal - it is to make sure there is proper pressure for the gasket to seal. Therefore, you don't want it between the bolts where it would limit the load on the rest of the gasket, you want it where the flanges are least loaded.
