Sears did mine. Good job, great price & a 6 month warranty. I was in and out in 45 minutes.

ok guys here's an update on the alignment issue:

I called the Sears here in Chula Vista, El Cajon and UTC in La Jolla and all 3 of them refused to do it. They said they didn't want to take the chance on an exotic car. I guess I can't blame them. I am going to try Clarence Brown and my friend Jae at Mirage Intl. Thanks for the help everyone. Hopefully I can get this solved soon.

Clarence Brown WILL lift the car, just make sure they measure ahead of time and that they crank it back down.

Hmmm...educational thread. Thanks!

Just paid $150 at my local German independent shop...this ain't NO run of the mill Toyota/Acura/Honda/etc, eh?

The co-owner of the shop does all of the alignments (he owns a 928S ) and seemed to be quite familiar with the vagueries of aligning these cars. The car had a full tank of fuel and the alignment guy got another technician to sit in the car while it was being adjusted. He warned me that the previous fellow had set the car to factory specs and that it was WRONG...causing the wear on my inner front tires from excessive toe-in.

They use an FMH machine (NOT Hunter)....anyone know their equipment? It seemed high-tech enough to me....infrared wheel mounted heads on all four wheels.

Best,
Tim

hey guys I'm going to call up Clarence Brown tomorrow on my day off and get a price for the 928. no Sears around here will do it and I think I may overpay if I go through my friend, plus there's no one there to help him so it will take him longer = more labor.

A quick question though:

Anyone have the suspension settings that are reccommended (IE camber, toe, height, etc.) on a 928 without sport chassis, but adjustable ride height from factory? I greatly appreciate it

Andy
