Default Broken Nipple / Extraction Question

My 1981 928, has a BEHR radiator that was installed back in 03 when the 928 was owned by the PO (I have the receipt but unfortunately the shop is far away and shop warranty is for 6 months). Anyway, there is a plastic nipple on the top of the radiator that you connect the expansion tank hose to. The part appears to be threaded and has a small gasket and washer. That nipple broke yesterday on my way home. I was wondering if I could safely extract the piece that is embedded in the radiator or whether this is something best left for a shop to do. Also, do you guys thing it is repairable? I attached some pictures.

Try using an EZ out to unscrew it.

New nipples are like $3.
