Default Front Aft, block off plates

Hi,
Question for the experts. While I was looking for some misc bits and pieces for my '87 S4 I came across 2 PET diagrams both for '87. One has front block off plates highlighted in yellow #9 (porsche website) and the second one doesn't (PET pdf that I downloaded). I don't believe that my car has them on neither left or right side. Is it supposed to have them and of so - where do they mount, because I don't see where would they be missing from? Also, what are #3 and #4?
Thanks for your help,
Mike

That looks like a part for the back. Not the front.
From PET.

Part # 928.504.309.03 (or 04) left side for '90 MY.
Do you have a part # for #9?

Exactly. #9 looks like #25 for the left side back, but the diagram shows it in the front fender liner. and the guy who's selling it has those plates for both sides, although the right side back doesn't have this plate from the factory. So it's very confusing. The part # from #25 is 928-504-309-03 which I got from PET. But have no idea what part number is for #9.

What site did you find that first picture on? Official Porsche?

That sure looks like a more generic diagram that illustrates multiple years. The part you are referring to #9 in your drawing is actually part number 928 504 315 02 for -84 cars.
The full wheel well liner 9928 504 381-05 was introduced in 85+

Here is the page for the 83-86 PET..

Found it here

Look at the vehicle fitment at the bottom of the page MY 87 - 95.

You are right, it is a generic diagram for multiple years, which had me confused as 87 was listed in that range. 87 clearly doesn't have this part.

BTW, if anybody needs it, the guy will take $25 for it.

He also has right side plate.

Some of his descriptions and MY are off and that took me a wild goose chase.
