Correct 81 rear wiring harness
Alright. So I just bought a new rear end wiring harness for my 81 as the original one was falling apart and I figured a brand new one couldn't hurt.
I had it delivered today and it has a few extra wires (mostly to the fuel pump(s)) the original one didn't have.
A little more digging and found out it cross references from 1980 all the way up to and including the 1983 model year.
I want to know if there were any supersessions over the years Porsche made to include all those years under one harness; it seems like every other year has its own specific harness.
Part # is 928-612-004-19 for those wondering. If I'm honest it was shockingly cheap at $114 from the dealer.

My January '80 PET lists the '80 rear body harness as 928.612.002.12, and there was a .13 version that includes the wiring for the rear foglamp (M553) . PET 7.0 says the '80-'83 rear body harness is 928 612 002 18. Not sure what came between .12 and .18.
