I am a bit embarrassed but the number of times I have to ask "where does this go" but here is another one. I can't work it out from the diagrams and I can't find a missing connector.
I would concur with Mr Schocki about the diverter valve. On left hand drive models it sits on the passenger side of the engine between the head and the side wall - no idea if it is on the same side for UK models but given the steering mechanism is on the "wrong side" I suspect the diverter valve will be handed in the UK..
On my 928's the nylon tubing emanates from the back of the vee - noty that it matters particularly.
I also note that for a relatively new 928 owner it is rather strange that you have 26 likes for your posts but it seems you do not like any of the excellent responses you have had to date!
By the way take a careful look at the wiring at the hot post and the 14 pin connector- that light brown cable is the 10mm2 hot feed directly from the battery and is permanently live- it should be a bright red colour- this is a classic sign of what I refer to as "cable cancer"- chances are the insulation will be brittle and cracking and if it leaks to earth it can convert the cable into a welding machine that has been known to burn these cars to the ground. Just one of these things we have to deal with unfortunately. For the 14 pin connector take a look at the cables running from the rear of the connector- you should be able to see the colours clearly- sometimes they are completely bleached out and that is not a good sign. Take a careful look at the 4mm2 yellow cable coming from pin 14 or whatever the number is.
I have to say I have not noticed the like, and feel bad about this. I have had lots of help from lots of people. I will go back and like a bunch when I get a moment - I don't want anyone to think I am not grateful. There is NO way I could have got this far without rennlisters.
just in terms of this post, I presume the air pump is the smog pump, which I have deleted, so I just need to blank this hose off and attach it somewhere.
Thanks again

Ian,
Apologies- could not resist the temptation to jerk your chain a tad.
With the air pump gone that line should be blanked as it would cause false air to be sucked in but in reality such a small amount would likely be of no real world consequence especially if you have an NBO2 sensor fitted [I do not].
