928 GT-1 style fender flares ready!

While I can see where these could be useful and perfectly acceptable for an all-out track car, it's not a style I would consider for a driver. For me one of the big draws of this car is the smooth clean lines, and IMHO those flares disrupt the visual flow in a way that doesn't work for me.
Just to toss in another opinion, I waved my girlfriend over to look, and she said that car belonged on the show "Overhaulin".

Hey Carl,
Keep up the good work!
I wish you were my nextdoor neighbour!
If I may offer a suggestion and this may be wwwway late.
I think that the flare sits too flat for the 928 contours. I think if you designed a flare that started higher on the fender and made the transition with a more subtle rake, you would have a much sexier look.
Your design is probably very functional in a racecar but looks very late 70's / early 80's kitcar in its present form. IMHO of course.
I applaud your efforts regardless.

The thing is this:
If you make a product for 928 racers, you will sell the product to 5-10 people tops.
If you make a product that looks good on *street* 928s, then you will sell hundreds.
Just a choice to make, when you develop products...

Yes. Cursed for all time.
Muahhhahhhahahahhahaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!
And yeah, I like flares, and I like huge rubber.
But these are just for the racers.
Very little street appeal with those.
