Wow, thanks for that paint colors booklet - you're absolutely right, it's platinum metallic. I didn't even see the hellbronze color listed in there.

The VIN info I provided above is a cut and paste from the thread here : no color was listed in the reply.

Have my front seats been recovered or replaced? I don't recall seeing a solid seating surface in other pictures, and they're power seats... unsure if those were standard or should have shown up as an option if so equipped.

Hi JBI-

The paint code for your car is U1, platinum metallic, and the interior trim code is VL, brown full leather seats with brown partial leather interior. Production number 1223473, for whatever that's worth (you may find the number '3473' on a piece of tape on the bottom of the glovebox or stamped in the sheet metal in the underside of the rear hatch, should you ever remove the rear lower trim piece)

It looks like someone re-upholstered the front seat center cushions to be all one-piece. They're kind of reminiscent of the 'Orthopedic' seats that Porsche made for Ernst Fuhrman. Kind of.

What is going on with the rear seats? Looks like some sort of bench seat conversion gone slightly awry.

For the interior, there are a couple of folks who specialize in 928 work, one of who is on here. There are also low cost vinyl seat recover kits on ebay. Not fantastic, but better than that horror. You can also use 911, 944, 993, boxter etc seats with some minimal wiring. I had 993 seats in my cab. Not great, but ok ish. Recovering the dash is a standard deal.

Nice looking set of seats! Too bad they're not mine.

The rear seats are normal, just needing replacement...what you see there is the remains of the rear carpet flipped up over them.
