Hello,

did anyone ever try to install a S4 climate control head (1983-1990) in a GTS? Does it work?
Are there any differences besides the recirculation ?
Background : A friend has a GTS , CCU is totally damaged. A refurbished unit from a S4 is available.
Used GTS units are not available over here in Germany, new units are way too expensive.

Yes the 90MY S4 unit works perfectly well but there is a slight feature difference that is not present on the S4 unit

The Forgotten On

The later units have a recirculation function not found on the earlier units.

They can get rebuilt over here in the US by a few people as the internals are all the same.

You could reach out to a local rebuilder as well and see if they will do it too.
