Default ISV advice needed.....

I purchased what was advertised as a Bosch ISV part no. 0280140515 and they claimed it was compatible with Bosch part no. F026T03060.
BUT, when I measure the inlet and outlet ID's........they are different.
Part no. 0280140515 has an inlet 20.5 mm ID, outlet 20.9mm ID
Part no. F026T03060 has an inlet 18.3 mm ID, outlet 18.6mm ID

Is this REALLY a compatible part???

Also, is the Lowe version of the original Bosch part good?

TIA

That looks like a Lowe and the dimensions are similar to what i noticed. Peal the sticker off and find out. Fyi the lowes will run $70 new. Here are photos of two lowe units comared to the bosch

Default Interesting....

Thanks for the quick response.
All of those ISV's have the same male plug orientation.......exactly the same as my old unit.
The new one has the plug orientated 180 deg while the Lowe unit has it as per yours.

The Lowe website has the 'new' part number as F026T03060: https://www.autosensorberlin.com/en/...15-9286061610/

I would have thought that with a smaller air volume in and out that it would affect the idle, but maybe not so much or the ECU compensates.

Air flow is controlled by the size of the internal aperture that is under moduating control with the set point being the idle speed- 675 rpm in the case of the S4/GTS and a bit higher for the GT. If the load is increased due to say the ac being switched on the aperture will be increased as needed to maintain the set point rpms.

If the nozzle external sizes are smaller then the pre-formed hoses may not hold. The Lowe unit I have had for quite a few years now seems to work perfectly OK, externally looks very well made and is virtually indistinguishable from the Bosc OEM item which makes me wonder if they are all Lowe items and the Bosch units come in a Bosch box as it were at twice the price or whatever.

Test fitted the hoses........both are nice and firm without clamps so no issue there.
Also, Pelican Parts has the exact same one listed as my new ISV.
