Default 4 speed auto transmission seal question … help

I am working on replacing the pictured seal in my transmission. Anyone know the proper technique for removal? I’m also posting a picture of the new seal. Thanks.

As per the WSM, the selector shaft must be removed. Which requires removal of the complete valve body.
Possibly could get the seal out with tiny hook type seal pullers. Then tap the new one in.

I replaced the seal in my A28.07, but I had the trans out, upside down, and already apart. So it was not a big deal to pull the shaft.
If I remember, new seal was a bit of a pain to get started straight into the case.

Good Luck!

I couldn’t find in the WSM for the life of me. Thanks! I was afraid that was the case.

I think it could be done if you had a tiny seal puller. I was afraid of scratching the shaft then Rendering the seal useless.
