Default '79 LED Taillights...fast blinking

So, I guess I just like punishment. I replaced all the tailights, including turn signals with LEDs today. Everything works as intended, however, I'm getting a fast blink turn signal...both sides. Is there an easy fix to this? I read through a separate post discussing various ways to fix a similar issue, none of which seemed easy, however, this was a few years ago. Any recommendations on how to easily fix this? Can I just put the old bulbs in the turn signals? They look great and would hate to take them out but I'm a bit gun-shy on electrical work. I try to keep it to a minimum, as many of you know.

I converted my whole 86 to LED. I used a different flasher relay for the indicators. It's one designed for led conversion.

Just seen this

SuperBrightLEDs has this one "CF13GL-02: 3 Pin Black European Flasher" for $11. This is in my car and it solves the hyperflash issue.

what year is your 928? Did you just swap out the hazard relay?

1984 928S North American version.

Yes, you just remove your 40-year-old flasher and put the new one in its place.

The hyperflash is a "feature" of the old school flashers to help you discover when your turn signal bulbs are blown (they flash quickly). Very nice feature until you use LEDs as bulbs.

The new LED flashers remove this feature and allow you to use your LED bulbs normally.

It’s worth a shot for $11 bucks. I’m just worried the ‘79 may act differently than the ‘84 when it comes to this. I noticed the “stop lamp” was coming on too.

The flasher circuit didn't really change from 78-95.

The stop lamp warning is from the brake lights not putting enough load on the bulb monitor. Basically the same cause as the fast flashing, led bulbs.

You can install inline resistors to trick the controller, or get a Porsche bypass if they're still available.

The "stop lamp" light on your cluster is a separate issue. If you have the same early "bulb check" module, you can jumper the plug to remove that.

This is my jumper that deletes the bulb check module. The bullet connectors that I used were standard male 0.157" bullet connectors.

^^ Pretty much, yeah.

Also good to note that you have to leave the 3rd brake light as an incandescent bulb if your car has it as that bulb is what tells the cruise control you're braking.

Up to 83 IIRC that was handled by the pressure switches on the brake master cylinder.

The plug is located above the fuse panel. It connects to a black box bolted right to the CE panel support mounts.

No 3rd brake bulb on my 1984. Probably not on his '79 either.

Location of the "bulb check" module is up behind the passenger side parcel shelf. I had removed my DME at the time.

i have tails and indicators with LED bulbs that all have inbuilt resistors. no errors or bulb light. The only thing i havent changed are the indicator side repeaters as no matter what i did LEDs wouldnt blink or hyperflash. car is a jap/euro s4.
(also just for fun the reason i did this was that i have painted my tails all red and needed a bright yellow led to flash orange - which it does through the red)

edit - ignore idnt realise this was for a '79
