the gasket that I bought was purchased in the last 2 weeks. Although I appreciate the response from Roger regarding the production status of the gasket, it's hard to believe that something I bought that recently was in the 'first batch of production".
I did get it installed, and I don't have tons of time to chase parts and wait for replacement items. Plus, once I got it installed, I really didn't feel like doing the job all over again, especially since I put on a brand new gasket when the engine was out. If it leaks when I get my clutch back in my posession and installed, I will reach out directly.

I just talked to @SeanR about this.
So there yea go, honest mistake. I think we all know the best plan of action in a situation like this is to call the vendor first.
I told roger not to toss the first run gaskets and I'd use them in house. So hayden, as mercedes was on vacation, grabbed from the wrong stack of gaskets.
