This would **** me off. Porsche1662 (a member) is bidding on this car that Wilhoite has already sold... very odd.

Pewter82,
Congrats on the immaculate car!
I glanced at the ebay pics, but couldn't determine the hood alignment with respect to the fenders. It is possible to loosen the hood hinges, and literally 'fiddle' the hood into perfect alignment. (I'd removed a hood to get at the heater/AC fan - there's a fair bit of adjustment room to play with). Hoping that it's only an adjustment required to get you to that perpect " ka-chunk" on closing.

FYI-
I got an email this morning from willhoit. I wasn't high bidder anymore, but I guess he sent it to all bidders. He said he just sold the car this morning. Here is what he wrote me:

Dear pauldobbs,

Paul...we sold the 91 Red GT this morning that you were bidding on.BUT we have a 91 Black/Black one on the way in with only 45k miles for $25,500.00.Please contact me at 417-869-7000 if there is any interest..Thanks Michael

Thank you,
mwillhoit

I assume that he just wanted to make sure the car got delivered and accepted before he ended the auction. Still seems a little odd, but maybe he just didn't get around to it untill now. Sure is a pretty car, though!
Congrats!

Paul

Willhoit e-mailed me yesterday and told me the person responsible for web sales was off sick for several days and he would take it off.

Pewter82 Please tell me that car is not as nice as it looks. I really wanted that one bad. I knew his reserve was around $25,000.0 So I was trying not to bid it too high right away. He emailed me this morning also. I guess I will check out his black 91 GT next.

Its VERY nice!...but as I posted earlier there is only a couple of items I need to address and Willhoit has contacted me several times to assure me that he wants me happy and he'll do what it takes to make the car perfect.
I've never seen paint that brillant on a 13 yr old car..even with the little paint work its had it looks new...and I'm not BS'n you on that. BTW he does not have the blk91 yet but hopes to soon. Good Luck.
