Camp 928 - June 8-11, 2023 - Adirondack Mountains, NY

Here come some pics but first a big thank you to Curt and Nancy for their hospitality, allowing a bunch of, mostly old motor heads, onto their compound. The weather did not cooperate this time, showers on and off every day, but it didn't seem to dampen the enjoyment of the event. See you all next year !!!

You've badly misjudged how I feel about your insulting rant about my car, in front of the whole crowd. As I said at the time, trying to get you you to stop and with obvious anger, I regret letting you drive it. And yet you post this thoughtless non-apology, an even more public insult.
I should be happy about how everything went, but this is all I can think about today.
To everyone else, thanks for coming, and thank you for your kind remarks.

Besides “thanks” to Curt and Nancy I have but one photo that is representative of a 928 get together: a group confab on fixing an owners problem. Nothing brings us together like a wounded Shark.

Curt (and Nancy!) thank you so much for yet another awesome Camp 928. I had a wonderful time! People old and new were absolutely great. We are spoiled into expecting it now I think. I only missed one and that was the one before I got my 928, so I guess that says it all right there.
I enjoyed it even though I thought I might have heard some almost out-of-earshot remarks about "Charlie's latest problem." (BTW here it is. Regarding driving it home, the wise counsel of our host was: "It will be fine." And it was!)

Thanks for the concerns and kind words, George. I checked it every half hour for the first 90 minutes and the crack didn't change at all. But it was unnerving definitely. Anyway 4 new Michelin PS AS4s are now on and for the 3rd time in as many weeks the suspension has to settle.
It was great seeing you!

So sorry I missed this AGAIN this year. I have always felt right at home at Curt and Nancy's, thanks to their warm hospitality, beautiful setting, abundance of interesting toys and projects that keep Curt busy and are fun to observe, the friendly, knowledgeable, and diverse group of 928 folks that come from far and wide, and the great driving roads. Hang in there Curt, I know it takes a lot of effort to host, but even when I'm not there, I truly appreciate the work that goes into this event. Hopefully next year...
