This is the under chassis AC line connection near the firewall. Yes, I cant pull the two halves of the High Pressure line apart after loosening the nut, and I'm afraid of damaging things if I continue to just pull. Is there anything I can apply at the junction where one half the line fits into the other half to make it easier to separate the two halves of the line from each other?

I personally gave mine a few good twists and it came right off on my 89.

You can always try a penetrant like Kroil. Couldn't hurt anything to try.

Spray som Kroil or PB blaster on the connection wipe off any drips get a torch and flash heat the outer line near the joint you won’t need much it should come apart be careful as the line could be filled oil

thanks, Stan. The line has already been flushed and blown out with dry air. I’ll blow it out once more and try this.
