If you're looking for a cheap option that doesn't soak up and traps water, I would buy an ordinary "closed cell sleeping mat" with the right thickness and cut it to a nice fit. They are avaliable everywhere and does the job like the original one...

I have used this kind of closed cell nitrile foam. You will have to cut strips of the right depth - but this stuff lasts incredibly well and does not deteriorate due to heat/cold/moisture/oils

Right on Alan, that's what I'm using right now. But those sheets are not cheap in the stores here in sweden, if you can find them. Online is the answer, as so often...

Last time I did this, I used close-cell pipe insulation from the shelf of my local hardware store.

We have this foam ropes for closing gaps in concrete. On top of this you put Sikaflex with a Press.

That looks good! Anything that will stay in place with a press fit is better than gluing anything in IMO.
