OT: Need a Bay Area member to take a peek for me.
Hey Gang-
As the message title indicates, need a good set of eyes to take a look at another P-Car for me in the SF Bay Area. Not right away, but sometime in the next couple of weeks.
If you're interested and could help out, shoot me a PM or message here and I'll shoot you a PM.
TIA-

I could maybe take a peek... depends on scheduling, location, etc. I'm in the south bay. I could take digital pics, give it a going over. If it's a later car though there may be others willing to help that would be more familiar with the digital dash, PSD, etc. and could give you a better read as to whether it's up to par with what it should be. I think any S4+ would feel really strong compared to my car, and I might think it's OK where someone who owns a strong S4 might think it was down on power.

I am in the same area as Dave (Sharkskin) in the south bay area. I can take a look, but to be honest, I recommend calling Susan at Devek and scheduling a PPI if you are really interested. I am somewhat familar with 32 valve cars ('86.5) but they have a slight bit more experience with them than I do Maybe Dave and I could both check out your prospect and then if you wanted to have a PPI, it could be taken to Devek. I had them do one for me when I was searching for my car, and they saved me from investing in a disaster; well worth the cost to save me from making a blunder.

Thanks for the offers guys....
Oops...did I mention that it's not a 928?
I'm looking at an Amazon Green 968 that has abit of modification and will in the future receive even more.
I'd like to get some pics and a set of 'eyes' to get a closer look. Based on my experience, all P-cars are very 'photogenic' and thus can cause even the greatest of critics to overlook 'issues' when one only has pics to view.

Photos and a visual inspection are not a problem for me, but my knowledge of 968 cars is very limited; perhaps the least familiar with them of all P cars. I certainly can give an "opinion" though, but I won't disclose my address in case I am wrong. Where is this machine?

I could look at the 968 for you if it's in the North Bay. I know enough to tell if the car is worth getting getting serious about or isn't worth your time.
Like Ron said, where is this car?

The car is on the South Bay - Foster City which looks like is just a couple of miles due east of San Mateo.
As I mentioned before, it is not a pressing issue & I'd be glad to re-imburse someone for gas and time.
The owner works 'evening' shift and gets off work ~6:30 pm (M-F).
Thanks for the responses folks - nothing better than rennlist!

I haven't posted specifically on the 968 board, but I guess could. Just frequent this board more and 'know' more of 928 members. You guys/gals I know would be able to look a car over easily and determine the initial status (cosmetics, oil leaks, obvious signs of wear and abuse, etc.).
That is not to say that I wouldn't entrust this to a 968er, but based on rennlist experience, I sincerly believe that there are a higher percentage of 928 owners who have no qualms with messing with their car and are therfore probably more 'qualified' to give a vehicle a more accurate birds' eye view/report. This observation is in no way meant to alienate or belittle any of the 968 owners that I have talked to or exchanged emails with. Just my gut feeling, that's all.

Hey Doc! - Yep, got the garage done - complete with the Lift (woohoo!). In as far as what I'm planning with the 968 - a full replica of the 968 Turbo S. I've already started the 'paperwork' (ie developement/parts id, etc.).
It'll be a 'fun' project to take up here shortly. Just getting started on the minute details though.

Dave, actually a couple of guys have done 928 engines into 944(968) bodies. Don't believe either did anything to widen the engine bay - though IIRC they messed with the firewall a skosh.
