Default Anyone have rear Sachs for my '78 for sale?

I am ready to replace my rear shocks on my US '78. I have the fronts but I can not seem to find and of the rears available anywhere? Anyone have a line on them? My les Paul picture has nothing to do with this post. But ain't she purdy!

Beautiful Les Paul! Unfortunately I think rear Sachs/Boge blacks are an endangered species right now. Porsche lists them (928 333 051 08) but at ~$300 each, and I'm not sure they actually have any.

is part number 928.333.051.16 just a gas filled one that is otherwise the same as 928.333.051.08 which I believe was oil filled? I think the .16 suffix is for 86 and up cars but may fit and function just like the .08 oil filled ones?. Can anyone confirm?

Boge stock may be gone for good. Rears finished according to the major wholesalers. Fronts in short supply
Boge reds are running out fast.
Koni rears are on back order - fronts hard to get
Bilstein rears gone - last time this happened it took 4 years for them to come back. My gut says they are not coming back.
I am depressed.

Pre-86.5 Bilstein rear shocks are a featured item on the Porsche Classic parts explorer. Doesn’t that usually mean they’ve produced another run?

I really wish Classic had some rhyme or reason to their selections.

The "rhyme" seems to be that if it's for a 928, don't plan on them making much effort, if any.

I installed a set of NOS Konis on my '82. It seems I'm lucky to have found them.
