2 separate turn signal questions

1. I recently replaced relay 1HO-953-227 on MY 1981 and that part of the flasher system seems to work fine EXCEPT that I cannot hear any clicking sound. I presume that sound comes from within the relay and, if so, is there a way to amplify that clicking so it can be readily heard? I relay on that noise to remind me if my flashers are still on. That is made more important because of the following issue with turn signal cancellation.
2. The turn signal is cancelled normally when the wheel is straightened following a right turn; however, the flasher remains on, and the turn stalk remains down following completion of a left turn. The plastic parts that I can see appear good; the "finger" pops out as expected and the cam on the wheel hub doesn't appear worn. Of interest is that as the wheel is straightened following a left turn, I hear a click at about the point where cancellation might be expected, but the stalk stays stuck. I am hoping for a solution that doesn't involve replacing the multifunction switch, something I've already had to do twice for other problems.
Alternatively, i could carefully plan my driving routes so that i only have to make right turns.![order](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/order.gif)

#1. There is no flasher clicking on my OB 928. I don't believe it ever clicked.
#2. Your turn signal stalk is broken. You can either buy a new or used one, or try to repair it (see link).

Thanks copperstew! I had seen that repair video elsewhere before I developed the switch return problem. Now I've paid closer attention and will likely order this kit.

Richard Armstrong in the UK has just sent out some test pieces to some lucky guinea pigs, sadly I didn't qualify as my car is currently off the road
If they are successful I guess Roger may end up selling them as he supplies the Ritech Flex Plate Clamp

Thank you! This is good information and I'll stay in touch with Roger Tyson about this.
