I replaced the MAF on my '89 GT with a new one from 928intl, but it did not seem to cure the problem. Two possibilities: old MAF not bad, or new MAF bad.

I need a volunteer to drive around for a while with my old MAF to see if it works.

Okay. Looks to me like 1985-on use LH-Jetronic. So my MAF should work in your car.

 

I will be starting my intake R&R in two weeks, so if you need, I could try it for you in about a month-my car will be down for two weekends. How bad is your car driving now-is it the same now as before the MAF replacement?

It's hard to say for sure, since the problem only appears after I've driven for longer than I drive most days, but I think it's the same as before the replacement.
