Easiest and most effective upgrade you can do would to be to get a set of better pads.

There was a user @xschop who used to make caliper adapters for the S spindle but he hasn't been active in a while.
I was about to do the upgrade on my 85 but before doing so I installed some Hawk HP Plus pads all around with some new Zimmerman’s and the car now stops pretty much as strong as my S4. The Hawks can be a little noisy at low speeds (but that is easily resolved).

Keep things _clean_ with those, and use an iron decontamination process on your finish now and then.

They eat iron, and that will corrode into wheel and body paint.

The Perfex adapter accounts for this as it was made with the Cayenne rotors in mind (the D2s have the same offset as the S4, GTS, etc.) so it will fit.

The D2 also bolts up to the factory S4 hub, but you need 350mm rotors with a S4 rotor offset to make it work so there is no cheap off the shelf rotor option.

For reference, the depth on a Cayenne rotor is 69mm hat to back of rotor face, a 993 is 73, and the S4/GTS is 77.

You also need a set of longer caliper bolts. Panamera Part #999 067 040 01 works perfectly for this.

Also, shout out and thank you to @Jerry Feather for the hubcentric rings, they fit perfectly after a touch of sanding.

Worth noting, while this moves the caliper out (for better leverage on the rotor), this conversion does nothing for the size of the pad (since stock pads are still used.).
There will be a large "wasted" area of the rotor, inboard of the brake pads.
Additionally, there will be no additional brake pad to reduce the amount of friction per square inch.

For "street car" occasional panic stopping/stop light stopping, this conversion will definitely help.
For continuous brake use (any track/canyon carving use), this conversion will simply "cook" the stock pads (and allow brake fade/boiling brake fluid) even quicker.

928 International generally has these pieces, although they are likely going to need some "refreshing".

Rear S4 calipers bolt directly on.

Booster and master will work, if in good condition.

If anyone is looking to go this path, I have a deal on the brake parts..
