I've been waiting on some front Powerslot rotors for my 84 since December. Luckily mine are just a bit warped and the car is driveable. Already received my new rears.
@NAVYEOD I tried to buy your 928. I saw it pop up on facebook marketplace and responded pretty quickly but must have been too slow. Congratulations and good luck with her. Looks great.

father of the lady I bought it from. He was a retired Navy Captain and was a physician as she was. I too am a physician and was a NAVY vet so she felt I was the one to have it. I tracked her down on a physician network site and messaged her and also with facebook. When I saw the ad I thought it was probably a scam. It went for more than she posted it for and many offered her more than our agreed price but she honored our agreement. She felt her dad would have been glad it went to me. It is a really nice car but is going to require a lot of sorting out. but I enjoy that. and thanks for forgiving me. david
Started trying to figure out the brakes and found out no vacuum going to the booster. Disconnect the vacuum line and no suction on it nor does it change the engine smoothness. So tomorrow will see if I have a clogged line somewhere. I do have good vacuum elsewhere in the engine

928 gurus: David's white example has rear mud flaps. Was that a factory option? Not sure I have seen them in person or on this forum. Of course I might not be paying attention...
Cheers

The factory did make them and you could have had them installed at the dealer when the car was new. Knowing Porsche they probably still have a few sets sitting on a shelf in Germany.
While you are trimming the systems, take a magnet and check if lower ball joint carriers have been replaced with steel. Originals had an aluminum structural body and they should have been replaced by now. The failures reported here in past years were collapses at low speed when at high steering angle.
Master is $295; clutch master is $225; proportioning valve $175; booster is $470; and calipers are $160 ea. (1 piston) plus s/h. Turnaround is approx. 3-4 weeks. Our service form is attached. Turn around is 3-4 weeks.
Hopefully by the end of today I will know what is going on with my brakes. Cannot find kits for the front calipers. david
Here's a little more information on the ball joint carrier.
TSB published in 84.
Clarifications -- When you make the upgrade it is necessary to upgrade one of the two eccentrics on each side.
(When finished, all 4 eccentrics then are exactly the same).
Don't overtighten the small studs for the mounting brackets, it may be that the factory torque spec is too high, based on some input that Precision provided in a previous thread on the topic.
David,
Check with Roger Tyson at 928sRUs for the parts.
Also, ask him about the CD set or thumbdrive that contains the treasure trove of original documentation.
Regarding brakes, it is possible to swap the entire suspension/spindle/ caliper setup from the pre 86.5 S cars as well as the 86.5 S & S4 cars directly onto the front of your early car.
Its pretty straightforward plug and play, just time consuming.
The S cars get you S brakes.
The 86.5 & S4 cars get you the big black brakes.
I've done this a few times for various projects.
All that said, if it were me I'd just be keeping your car exactly stock and simply getting stuff working.
Only reason to change is if you can't get the stock parts for yours.

David, I'm glad she went to a great home, sounds like it was meant to be. And thank you for your service!
