Back to the original MM question.
Really hard to find the Volvo MMs at the moment. I like them because we have had zero issues with them in at least 10 years.
Hamburg Technic - not one of my favorite companies - has emulated the the original Porsche engine mount - but even that is on back order.
I the original Anchor solid mounts are available and seem to have sorted there manufacturing issues I may offer them as an economical alternative.
The original Porsche mounts that very few peeps use are now listed at $480 each - I bet Porsche pays $30 to have them made.

The Jager site says the speedmount is for '83 on up cars for some reason. This car has an 83 block in it but wondering why it's not compatible with cars older than 83 since oil pans seem to cross over and I'm not aware of cross-member differences either - I'm sure one of you knows.
Petza,
The 83 928 used the old style motor mounts. That was changed for the 84 and up cars to the more modern motor mounts that need replacing more often.
I am guessing that the Speed Mount doesnt fit correctly with the old style motor mounts
Motor Mounts - Metal or Hydraullic Liquid versions?
Anyone have experience with a "metal" motor mount?
or a Liquid motor mount?
I'm circling around replacing my motor mounts and my initial thesis is the metal motor mounts will tighten up the GT feel the 928 is for my 5 speed?
I also have some thought to put in hydraulic of liquid motor mounts on my auto S4 which serves as my daily driver?
I couldnt find any metal or hydraullic motor mounts for the 928 (1980 5 speed & 1989 S4)

Solid metal motor mounts are great for transferring every mechanical vibration from the motor to the chassis. Unless your 928 is a racecar, you don't want solid motor mounts. Even worse than solid motor mounts are solid transmission mounts.
So what does one do who has a 1979 Euro 928? I think I need motor mounts, but not 100% sure... seems a lot of vibration from engine transfers into body.....
Open the hood and look at the top of the engine from the drivers seat.
Rev it to 4k quickly and let off. If the engine rocks slightly to the right they are good.
If it sits rock solid they are bad.
If they are bad it is cheaper to upgrade to the 83+ Hydarulic mounts than replace the originals.
About $2k to replace the original mounts and engine shock.
About $350 to upgrade.
One finds a cheap 83-95 engine crossmember ($100 from Mark (https://shop.928intl.com/Used-Engine...75%2D011%2D06/) and heatshields, and replaces the early crossmember while replacing with Volvo mounts, rather than $1400 for a pair of early motor mounts (928 375 043 02).
