I am in the Charlottesville area. Right now though, my car is at Curry's in Sterling for tires, alignment and detailing while I in Mammoth Mountain in a ski trip. I will return on Saturday.

Thanks for the response. I was looking for someone around the Blacksburg area.

I am having difficulty with an ebay engine hood that I won. The seller seems less than motivated, probably due to the very low price. Prior to bidding, I asked the seller if he would ship to Canada and he said that he would. I was the only bidder, and got it cheap. I am thinking that due to low profit he may not want to crate it, and has not bothered to respond. I am reasonably sure that I have "sourced" his address and phone #, so I was thinking that I may call him and see if I can arrange pick-up. At least then I have the option of driving down next month to pick it up.

I could also just "Pay Now", to force the issue. What do you think???

Bill, you are 2 1/2 hours away, and would not ask this of you, however there may be some one closer.

I don't know about 928 owners, but there are two 944 Turbo owners from this board in Blacksburg. There is also a 911 RS America owner.

I know the 944 owners personally and they'd probably be willing to pick your hood up.

I went to school there (Virginia Tech) and know a few people who are still there. I'm tentatively planning on going down the weekend of May 22. If I went I could pick it up and you would only have to drive a few hours to Pittsburgh to pick it up from me. I'll also keep my eyes and ears open if anyone I know is going down.

If you don't find anyone else willing and late May is OK by you, send me a PM.

well blacksburg and richmond are a few hours from each other, especially depending on where in b'burg cause lots of folks say they're in b'burg but might be in roanoke or franklin county or 20 other places, people just know b'burg so it's easier .. there is a 928 guy on the registry that's in richmond who might help you... I could probably drive to tech in say 4hrs and pick it up and ship but you'd have to slide me something in return... or come to SITM and pick it up

I haven't dealt much with Ebay myself so don't have any experience in this area. Sounds like you have some links to others who are closer than I am.

Hello Guys,

Still no reply from this guy. I went through his feedback and asked the people he dealt with in the past for his contact info. We will see what I can dig up? His number was not in service, so I have decided not to "pay now" to press things.

I'll give it another week and see if I can get this guys ear. If not, it will be the first neg feedback I have left in 150. Shame
