OK I did try a search, going to do the top refresh and would like to pull the front bumper cover, the PO had sanded it down but never got to paint it. (He died!) so I just saw that it really needs to be shell blasted then painted. I saw a write up for pulling the front cover of but can not find it.
Just got it off, not to hard, two really rusty nuts. Will get all the lights out and get it walnut shell blasted so it can be painted. Will start on the intake refresh and FI harness. Nice winter project.
With the cover off you may want to take the opportunity to chase the threads on all the M6 mounting bolts. Cleaning off the rust and getting a good clean thread will be helpful and reassembly.
Also note the mounting clips at the bottom are riveted and some of those rivets may have come free or the clips may be broken it would be a good opportunity to drill and replace broken rivets/clips. Simple aluminum rivets will suffice
Another thing you could consider is deleting the factory headlight washers if you want to. Porsche made a headlight washer delete cap for the 944 which is a direct screw in perfect fit for the holes in the bumper.
Porsche 944 944 S2 Headlight Washer Blind Cap 95162830100. The Cap primed but you can sand off the primer and polish so it looks black or paint it to match your car
