Default Titanium exhaust stud kit for Porsche 928

We now offer a titanium exhaust stud kit for Porsche 928 and 968Our set is the perfect solution to future proof your exhaust manifold to cylinder head. Our titanium alloy studs will not rust after repeated heat cycles, and will be easily removed when needed

The stud - made in Japan to exact Silverlake specifications, the titanium alloy studs will not rust after repeated heat cycles, hence will be easily removed when needed. Ti6Al4V alloy is as strong as steel but 45% lighter.

The nut - originally designed for the aerospace industry, k-nuts are the most applied locking nuts in high-end motorsports applications, due to their strength, low weight and temperature and vibration resistance. These European made all-metal nuts will lock once torqued up and will never unscrew unless desired.

The washer - made in the USA to exact Silverlake specifications, the copper washer will not corrode nor bond to the titanium stud or the aerospace steel nut, making future removal easier. These corrosion-resistant washers will compress for a tight fit and further reduce the chance of unscrewing.

Here some pics of the kit, and the studs installed on a 997 GT3.

Thanks

If you guys are in the custom stud/bolt business, any chance we could request a run of the impossible-to-find 85/early-86 one-piece cam cover bolts?

Also, howdy neighbor! I used to live in Silver Lake, around the corner from Tacos Delta.

Looks like the long bolt is still available from Porsche, but runs $35 per and 18 are needed. There are also 6 short bolts which are long NLA. If this is a possibility, I'll try to find someone with an 86.5 who could take measurements.

All models use the 8 x 30 stud.

$209 is for which years? (I don't see any differentiation in your web site.)

BTW, a factory stud is now over $4.00, so you are providing a nice option, for a fairly reasonable price.

I use shorter studs with my inconel and stainless header flanges for 928's. If you also offer shorter studs, what lengths do you have?

Hi Greg,

$209 is for all 16 exhaust stud, nuts, and washers; for all years.

Inconel suds are 40mm long, they are shorter and meant to be for some 911 models, but will likely work with our nut on 928s...

Do you mean for all years that only need 16 studs ??? (Or did you not read above !)

87 to 95 have three studs per exhaust port.
78-86 only have two studs per port, on both 16 and 32 valve engines.
