Default Front cowl cover

Ordered one from Jerry Feather. Really pleased with the quality(thickness), look and fit.

Old(back) broken
New(front)

Install directions were straightforward and it fit very well.

You can just barely see one of the three clips referenced to attach it.

Installed. Wifes yoga mats work well to protect the fenders

Thanks Mark, for that great report. Your last picture shows the efforts that I went to to get these to fit at the front edge of the metal trim piece at the base of the WS. That is one place that none of the Factory cowl pieces fit. I learned in my aviation era that to do these kind of aftermarket projects they must be as good as or better than original to pass inspection by the FAA. That philosophy carries over in just about everything I do for the 928s.

I replaced the OEM half cover in my 81 with one recently.

I have purchased one as well but am struggling with the drivers' side wiper hitting the cover. This is all I get. I just went down and beat the firewall like it owes me money and m

aybe another quarter inch but it just pops back out when the wiper hits it.

The first problem is that since the rear edge of my Cowl Cover is a perfect match to the front edge of the metal Cowl Trim at the base of the WS, it appears that your firewall is out of place. I think that is addressed in the instructions. If you don't understand that then there is a thread about fitting these Cowl Covers in my 90 GT where I had to move the firewall and how I did it. Do a search. The other problem may be that you have not correctly located the rear flange of the new Cowl Cover within the tabs provided for that under the metal Cowl Trim at the base of the WS. Check on that. If those issues are corrected and you still have a problem with the WS wiper mechanism hitting the Cowl Cover then you may need to trim off some of the rear flange of the Cowl Cover to clear the WS wiper mechnism. That should be out of sight and not affect the function or appearance of the Cowl cover.

Don't show her THAT!!!
You guys are SO lucky to have guys like Jerry, Greg, Roger, and Mark (and others) who are so dedicated to the car. Maybe someday I can join the club...
Cheers

The Cowl Cover is $90. The Cowl Seal is $15. The stickers are $5 each for S4/GT, which take two, and only one for 84 to 86 and 92 to 95. I need to know the year of 928 and your address.. Paypal to me at jfeather@bresnan.net. The Shell stickers on 78 to 83 are on the air box and are slightly smaller. I have those also at $5 each. Need to know the year of 928 since there are two different ones of those.

You can do it here by PM, or the best place is at my email: jfeather@bresnan.net. The Covers are $90 each and the Cowl Seal is $15. Depending on the year of your 928 the stickers are $5 each and the S&H to domestic locations is $25. What year is your car? Oh, I see, "83. No stickers on the Cowl cover up to 84, but I still have the correct Shell stickers for the early cars, 78 to 83. Two different ones, depending.
