Default High idle

Hi everyone

I bought this 82 928 us , 1years ago and I did a lot on it , I have change my water bridge and oil filler gasket latelly since coolant in the valley, and some vacuum hose at the same time . The car start well ,no leaks at the water bridge , but my idle was at 1100 rpm ,and I kept it at 800rpm before .I saw some fume from passenger front block around the red hose (timing cover)and some oil around the feet of the spider driver side ? And plastic inside passe ger front chuck is broken ?

Is Anyone have experience that ?
thanks
Aleks

If you're seeing oil at the base of the spider legs, you may also have a vacuum leak there, which would elevate the idle just like opening up the idle screw would. When you reinstalled the legs, did you install new gaskets where they meet the heads, and di you get those tights before tightening the clamps at the other ends to the intake plenum where the dual clamp boots are?

thanks for the reply
I didn’t remove the spider , i just did a water bridge removal and change gasket, seems like the gasket are old at the base of the spider and the dual booth . I have change some of the vacuum hose around the WB ,including the one going to the plenum ,it is possible that is this one leaking ? The hose going to a fitting to the plenum , but when I have remove it ,the fitting cAme out with the hose but when I put it back in place, maybe I didn’t push the fitting enough? If I chAnge the spider gasket , did I have to flush oil ?

Thanks
aleks
