Default Coolant Reservoir Pin Hole

This is a non 928 car but the principle is the same, a plastic reservoir. Due to Covid I can’t get a replacement reservoir for 12+ days so I need to make a repair on a pin hole. Anyone have any positive experiences with this task? Thanks

I used JB weld many years ago to fix a in pin hole in a radiator.
I suspect that any of the epoxy type putties would also work.

The cleaner the surface the better.
A little sandpaper roughing it up wouldn't hurt either.

Remember, the repair only has to last a couple of weeks. (But would likely last a LOT longer)

If the geometry permits you might consider using a patch repair.

Put a small amount of plastic epoxy on the inside, then use air pressure to pressurize the tank, forcing the epoxy in the hole/crack. Alternatively, put the epoxy on the outside, then create a vacuum in the tank to draw it into the hole/crack. A friend did this with metal epoxy for the 928 rear AC evaporator leak. Twenty years late, no leaks.

if the hole is accessible then drill a small hole through the pin hole use a screw with sealant and a washer on it screw it in.
NOTE this is not a long term repair as the screw could corrode and break off. but it should seal the tank
