All -

Woody and I have been working through a TB/WP refresh on my 83 and discovered an strange conundrum today. Someone at some point "reconfigured" the adjustment setup for the AC Compressor and Air Pump. I would like to get this back to stock as it should be, but need to be sure of exactly what parts I am missing and to see how everything mounts up.

Could someone please reply with a picture(s) of the adjustment brackets for the air pump and compressor and how they mount to the block, how the belts route around them, etc. Also need to know if the AC compressor has a short bolt in both the front and rear pivot locations or if there should be one long bolt (like the alternator) that goes through both mounts.

In the photo you can see the two "brackets" on the air pump and compressor that cross over each other and were using the same "adjustment pivot point" - Kind of difficult to see I realize. I think that the two adjusting brackets are both supposed to attach to the block at the point on the lower left of the pic, but each device has its own adjustment assembly.

Thanks as always.

I don't know if this helps much? The compressor is usually left in the car when the engine is removed.
