Jeff that car is awesome.....for what its worth if I had the resources I'd take it. My S3 has got probably close to 200k and it runs like a top and hasn't had near the love you've put into yours..I love the upgrades..that car has a lot of class and whomever it goes to will be very fortunate.

Jeff,
Sorry to see you selling, but I understand! You had a great time w the car, time for another to do the same. This time, (the next owner) will have a great car they virtually will have to do almost nothing to.
I've seen this car in person, it is Phenomenal!

Agree w/others, get a Pro Photographer, put on BAT, and use Rob Edwards Ads as a guide and he is the Master of pimping a car coast to coast better than Barnum and Baily!!

GLWTS Jeff!

Jeff thats a nice machine with way more things going for it than it needing.
For the best bang I would sell it on BAT, IDK for sure but last I checked their is a 3 month waiting time to get on BAT.
That said it would benefit you to have them picture the car as that will drive up their putting it in an auction.
Definitely clean the engine bay .
i predict a 27K selling price,
the hi miles will hurt this sale a bit, and most buyers may not appreciate the upgrades,
BAT produced pictures should be a benefit unless you have a good photog to use.
Make sure to put in a driving video with the windows down

Clean S4. I see on the driver side no engine oil cooler line is going to the radiator. Port is left open. Is there a reason for that?

Yes, that was not how the 1990 S4 was set up. Is has a below the radiator oil cooler separate from the radiator. You can optionally add lines (the radiator has ports put are capped from factory) to route the radiator in line.

Thank you much Stan
So you think I should not list all the extras but rather sell them separately?

Jeff,
So glad that you are remaining in the 928 world, and so sorry that you are selling your car. I understand and respect your decision to sell it.
While it's probably the prudent and correct decision for your circumstances, you are gonna miss that car!

From my researching the closer a car is to stock the more cash its gonna bring,

the more aftermarket things that are done,
the smaller the buyers list will be that want to take on a unknown project with unknown upgrades
It will take a specialist to fix anything that breaks hopefully the cars creator is nearby

If you are putting it on BAT I would remove the carbon fiber trim from the center console and replace with the factory parts, clock, etc. I would even reinstall the factory radio if you have it. Also on the rear hatch lock you posted picture, change the hardware to new on little stuff like that, that are easy to get to so they pop in the pictures. Car looks sharp and I cant believe how clean the underside is.

I will agree, BAT is -not- a bling culture market. Its a pro-sumer owner market. IMHO, the new reality of the Barrett Auctions. (and their like)

I would install them to firmly capture the California market bidders...removes all doubt that they are 'there' and are no headaches.

The goal is as broad a net as possible, even if the potential buyer may 'option it down' on their own later.

I'll post of picture of them with the car when I do the listing. There is no smog pump at all, that's on the new buyer.

You will have to declare the car not legal for sale in CA with BAT. Just like auctions here during car week then...which like I said, isolated a healthy buying population.
