Default Air Pump

87 five speed, got her in May and just got her running after a MAF and ECU rebuild so driving the last few weeks, AC, still waiting for parts, I did get it up on the rack last week so I know it does not have an air pump. So there are some hoses that go with the air pump and I would like to remove them. What has to be made to do this, there must be something the air was pumped into. I also know my car has headers and no cats, it looks like they were cut out and spacer pipes welded in (and not a very good job). Also what controlled the pump should I be looking for a plug to block off. I did try the search bar but it is not very useful .

As I am aware there are two variants- one for cat equipped models and one for non cat models. The air is pumped into a diverter valve located on the side of bank 1/4. The diverter valve is triggered by vacuum. When the valve is triggered air flows to the cats or in the non cat case [like my motor] it flows via a manifold system into the exhaust port of each cylinder.
