Default Pasha cloth availability on a 928

Hi guys:

I have a 1981 928, european car, that has original black vinyl seats with Pasha black and gray/beige cloth which need replacement. I am restoring the car and would prefer to have it in black and white cloth, but I am curious as to original availability. Was black and white offered from factory? ..Per parts manual, dated 1986, the following colors were available:

LH1 Black / Light gray-Black
LH2 Brown / Brown-Gray
LH3 Blue / Blue-Gray
LH4 Burgundy /Burgundy-Gray
LH5 Gray-beige / Brown-Gray

Suppliers nowadays seem to have cloth in black-white, black-beige, black-blue, blue-beige and brown-baige.

So... I am confused. Can somebody shed some light here?

I guess final question is: Could I have black vinyl and black and white cloth for a European 1981 model? I am trying to keep the car "correct" but not necesarilly as mine was suppled... I rather have white/black than beige/black for a white car.

Thanks,
Victor

Your interior is definitely a black and white one. And yes, the cloth is available through upholstery distributors.

Thank you, Blake. I am not so sure of the white. I thought so at the beginning, thinking it was dirt, but it is so homogeneous that I really think it it a light gray-beige.

Anyhow, from your comment I take it that white and black must have been available also.

Thanks again,
Victor

remove one of the door cards and look at the material that wraps around the back. It should clean and unfaded.

This is truth. I have black and beige that faded to black/blue and white.

I like the base style seats seen in your car and other Euro models. Much cleaner than the pillow seats

That might actually be black/grey. I have a perfect black/grey pasha interior in a 1981 Euro ‘base’ with the 911 seats. I’ve never seen the Pasha color in another 928 but I have in a 911. The COA also confirms this as correct. From the picks it appears as if you have the same interior - I could tell mine wasn’t black/white or black/tan as I have other cars with those Pasha interiors to compare side by side. Without the comparison it could appear as a faded or dirty black/white for sure.

Thank you, Alex.

I checked on my car's door cards from the rear side and the color is in fact black/gray and not dirty or discolored white.

Question is: Was black/white available for 1981? If so, and since I need to redo the seats, I would probably opt for black/white. My car is white and I feel it will look better.

Thanks again,
Victor

I finally decided for the black and white and bought it from SMC.

https://sierramadrecollection.com/Pa...rs-p55366.html

They describe it as "a beautiful OEM specification material. We guarantee authentic pattern, weave and quality."... so I am sure I will be happy with it.

Thanks for all the help,
Victor

I know this is an old thread, but does anybody know what years the 928 was sold with the Pasha interior (regardless of which color)? TIA
