Default Anodize hard-lines?

Hi all. I have my ‘89 S4 project car disassembled to a large degree, and was considering having all the aluminum hard lines (brake, fuel, AT cooler) anodized. I figure they’ll get a thorough cleaning as part of the prep process as well. Any experience with this, recommendations for/against, etc?

You can have steel plated, but not anodized.
Anodizing only works on aluminum.

Most people have these lines either Cadmium plated or Zinc plated.

wow, I hadn’t heard of gold zinc. I was wondering about yellow chromate after the zinc plating but I’ll ask the plating shop about gold zinc.

.....My plating house speaks very little English, but I get what I want when I ask for "gold zinc".

We're talking about the same thing, with just a difference in word selection.
