Porkensioner Service Interval Question
While the front of my engine is apart (half way there to the belt), I've decided to change the timing belt as it was last done in 2013. I have a Porken tensioner Gen 1 on my S4. Would like to know if I should replace the tensioner and roller as well? Mileage on them is less than 3,000 miles.
Has there also been an interval determined on these parts given the different application?
Thanks in advance!

Lever and pulley bolts were changed to through-bolts and lock-nuts instead of the bolts which come in the boxes with the lever and pulley. (To update the bracket needs to have the 8mm threaded holes drilled out to 8mm.)
Otherwise, on the latest bracket (PKT-S2) the lever position is adjustable to fit a larger range of engines and the air-pump bracket is an accessory piece which mounts on the base bracket.

Thanks Ken, is it a mandatory update? My engine won't get chewed up if I just replace the tensioner and belt? It ran great with the current hardware.
Thinking out loud here..

No, but you should consider getting the special flat-head bolt for the early brackets which is in the update pack. Early brackets (before the B - black) have an incorrect angle on the flat-head bolt countersink. The original bolt seats fine but I had special bolts made to fit those.
With the belt. The original Audi replacement interval was 105K miles but the T/D is inexpensive so WYAIT.
