New to Porsche and this forum
Hey guys, just wanted to introduce myself. I’ve had many muscle cars in the past but decided to get a 83 928S. As a kid in the 80’s I always wanted one so when I saw this Ruby red 5 speed with only 61k miles I had to have it. All major services at 60k was just done. I’ve seen the last few weeks these cars selling pretty high at the auctions. I’ve got a few technical questions I’ll be posting. I’ve already seen a wealth of info on this forum. I bought this car sight unseen and so far I’m pleased. It’s got all original equipment including the air pump in the box, all manuals, some gloves and bags I guess for handling the battery. Pretty neat that stuff survived all these years

That is beautiful, and a 5 speed to boot! Congrats and welcome to the shark tank. I love the color. My first 928 was an 84 ruby red too. That is a fantastic color, especially when the sun hits it.

I'm new to 928 ownership, too. Please join rennlist -- it's the cheapest ticket to saving more than you can imagine, as I've done on previous Pcars.

I also notice you have the wider S4 wheels on the rear - very nice!

Welcome. Beautiful car.
Congrats on getting it.
The gloves & bag are for changing a flat tire. Gloves to keep your hands clean, bag to keep the flat from getting the dirt all over the interior.

Trying to be helpful the new original poster, but "not so secretly" helping myself too...
Stan, I've read a number of posts on upgrading to 7" and 8" H4's...at least enough to read that 8's are better and more expensive. But...Looking at the 7" lights/kits on Amazon, there are a lot of choices...would something like this work? (I believe my sealed beams have the correct connectors) Thanks!
