Just a quick note:
The oil feed line to the chain tensioner fits only one way......although it can be put on there incorrectly.
Make sure there is no tension/pulling/stress on the feed line when you put it back in. It should fit nicely without having to shove it to put the bolt through there...

Great point.
The "longer" side of the tube goes toward the camshaft.
So I removed the tensioners today, after blocking oil drain holes and removing oil feed lines, the passenger side tensioner came out easily but came apart revealing the piston stuck in bottom of tensioner bore, I didn't see a spring anywhere but maybe I'm wrong , the drivers side had more tension but did not smoothly go to all the way in, I then removed the clip that holds the piston in cleaned it and it operates smoothly however then clip will no longer retain the piston.would it be possible the passenger tensioner was running on oil pressure alone and was why it appeared loose? Can I run the tensioner with no clip to retain piston or do I need 2 new tensioners now ?
